Formal homework, and informal working at home are both key ways in which home and school can support one another to help your learning and progress.

Homework activities are an important way to support your work in school. We hope that adults will encourage you, but not do the work for you, as an important aim of homework is to help you to learn how to work independently.

There are millions of sites on the internet, and it can be very frustrating to find something useful on a particular subject. Here are some web links which we hope will be useful for you and your child to find out the information you need:-

Fun learning resources for school and at home from BBC on-line		Kevin's Playroom - an award winning curriculum and homework portal produced by children for children.
	Yahooligans Directory – This site has already searched the web and found lots of sites it thinks you will find useful, and grouped them together by subject.	Ask Jeeves for Kids – This is the children's version of a popular search engine.
The Homework Elephant - This website has links to useful sites about a variety of subjects your child might be doing at school, one section has tips on revision
Mapzone – An interactive website designed by Ordinance Survey to help with map work for Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9)
