| Once your child has reached the end of Year 11, they’re suddenly faced with a whole world of new choices. These days it's much more than just choosing between staying at school or going to work. The problem is knowing how to start working out what's the best choice for your child. | ![]() |
| There are so many different qualifications and ways of learning - the range of courses and subjects is massive. If your child would rather be earning while they learn, that opens up another set of options - different ways to train, apprenticeships, new opportunities in Europe. | |
Calling all Parents...The section of the website on Curriculum – Post 16 is to help your son or daughter work out what they're going to do when they complete Year 11. Although things probably look very different from when you were 16, you can help too. Try working or reading through it the information with your son or daughter - it might feel like you're the last person they ever listen to, but most teenagers do turn to their parents when it comes to big decisions like this. | ![]() |
