Music - Post 16 | | Schools and colleges offer a variety of advanced level courses. You will usually be able to choose from:
- general AS and A level (GCE);
- vocational AS and A level (VCE);
- other vocational qualifications, such as the BTEC National Diploma or NVQs.
| | | In AS/A level the skills, knowledge and understanding as described in the National Curriculum for Music are developed further. These qualifications have defined areas of study in order to clarify where pupils should gain greater depth of musical understanding. This depth of understanding is now applied through the activities of performing, composing and appraising.
