Art & Design - Post 16 | | Schools and colleges offer a variety of advanced level courses. You will usually be able to choose from:
- general AS and A level (GCE);
- vocational AS and A level (VCE);
- other vocational qualifications, such as the BTEC National Diploma or NVQs.

Art, design and the media encompass a wide range of specialist disciplines that offer exciting and creative career opportunities. GCE A Levels will provide students with an excellent preparation for further specialisation in a particular area at degree level. After their studies, besides working as a practicing artist or designer, students may also find other opportunities in such areas as advertising, marketing, retailing, teaching, art therapy, journalism and public relations.
