Agreeing Standards in Writing including pupil targets 

This guidance document on assessing writing arrives at an appropriate time. Accurate and consistent assessment of writing is an important part of the teaching process and essential for identifying the next steps in pupils' learning.

The guidance is especially useful for joint assessment work between middle
and primary schools to support pupils' progress in writing across KS2.
